Positive Change for the Cathedral of Life

Name changes always speak of a shifting of the character, purpose and destiny of someone or something. “The King’s Cathedral” is a place that stresses in word, thought and deed the grand mandate of extending the Kingdom of God throughout the world. While empowering others is still very much our spiritual DNA, Kingdom thinking is the overarching theme of our new culture as a Church. Many Bible characters including, but not limited, The Lord Jesus Christ, John the Baptist, and the Apostle Paul taught and demonstrated the Gospel of the Kingdom. A careful reading of the New Testament makes the rationale for this change abundantly clear.

Our new motto “Where Everyone is Royalty” presses the idea that all of God’s children are members of the Royal family by virtue of their New Birth. Regardless of one’s age, ethnicity, level of spiritual development, personal history, or for that matter any other defining characteristic, all members and guests of “The King’s Cathedral” will be treated with the highest level of integrity, care, concern and respect. From the manner in which we provide assistance to others, teach the Bible, manage our facilities, or even how we park cars and answer the church’s phone lines, everyone will experience a new level of excellence – the Royal treatment.

Below are just a few scriptures that support this name change and cultural shift:

Matthew 6:33: “But seek (aim at strive after) first of all His Kingdom and His Righteousness ( His way of doing and being right),…” (Amplified Version)

Matthew 24:14: “And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world as a testimony to all nations, and then will the end come.” (English Standard Version).

1 Peter 2:9: “But you are a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, God’s own purchased and special people,…” (Amplified Version).
Romans 5:17: “… surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).” (Amplified Version).
